Cartons are an area estimate; the row plan assumes fixed-length stock and no cut reuse. Waterproof product claims do not establish a waterproof room assembly. Expansion gaps, minimum end cuts, stagger, maximum continuous room dimensions and underlayment compatibility vary by product; use the selected manufacturer instructions. Editable dimensions are arithmetic examples, not universal requirements.
How it works
Usable dimensions deduct expansion at both edges. Rows = ceil(usable width / face width). Equal first and last rows share the remaining width.
Assumptions and limitations
Cartons are an area estimate; the row plan assumes fixed-length stock and no cut reuse. Waterproof product claims do not establish a waterproof room assembly. Expansion gaps, minimum end cuts, stagger, maximum continuous room dimensions and underlayment compatibility vary by product; use the selected manufacturer instructions. Editable dimensions are arithmetic examples, not universal requirements.
Whole packages round upward after the chosen allowance. Physical geometry and purchase reserve are separate. Manufacturer and project specifications override editable examples; the selected region does not establish a local code requirement.
