Welcome to Real Construction Calculator ("RealCalc", "we", "our", or "us"), available at realconstructioncalculator.com. We take privacy seriously and are dedicated to being transparent about how our site operates. 2. Zero Account Data Collection

Real Construction Calculator does not require account creation, logins, passwords, credit card numbers, or personally identifiable information (PII) to use our tools. All measurements and calculation parameters you input are processed entirely in your web browser via client-side JavaScript. Your calculations are not saved on our servers or transmitted to remote databases.

3. Local Storage

Our application utilizes browser localStorage (client-side storage on your device, distinct from HTTP cookies) solely to improve user experience. Specifically, it remembers:

  • Your recent calculation runs and saved material estimates.
  • Your cookie consent preferences.
  • Your light/dark theme preference.

This data remains solely on your personal device and can be erased at any time by clearing your browser's site data or local storage cache.

4. Optional Analytics & Current Display Advertising Status

RealCalc is dedicated to a fast, clean calculation experience. Currently, this website does not serve display banner advertisements. We use Google Analytics solely to measure aggregate site traffic and improve tool performance, and only after you choose "Accept All" in our consent banner. Choosing "Essential Only" prevents optional analytics from loading.

  • Optional analytics processes aggregate device, browser, and page usage information to help us understand calculator performance and traffic patterns.
  • All measurement inputs and calculations are computed locally in your web browser and are never transmitted to analytics or remote servers.
  • We do not sell personal data or conduct cross-site behavioral profiling.

5. Third-Party Advertising & Google AdSense

While display advertising is not currently active across RealCalc, we are preparing the website for third-party advertising integration, including Google AdSense.

When advertising is enabled on this website:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, device identifiers, or similar technologies to serve, measure, personalize, or otherwise support advertising and prevent fraud based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites on the internet.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to Real Construction Calculator and/or other sites on the Internet.

RealCalc features contextual links to recommended building supplies and contractor tools (such as Home Depot and Amazon). If you click through a sponsored link to purchase materials or tools recommended within our calculators, we may receive a referral commission at no additional cost to you. These commercial links are clearly labeled and do not alter the independence of our engineering calculations.

7. Contact & Email Communications

Our Contact page functions as a client-side message composer that generates pre-addressed draft messages for your email client (such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, or your default system mail application).

We do not operate a server-side contact database or transmit your message entries to backend form storage. When you choose to send an email to [email protected], your email address and message contents are received directly by our team and used exclusively to respond to your technical question, bug report, or feature request. We do not use contact correspondence for promotional marketing or share your email address with third parties.

8. Your Rights Under GDPR & CCPA

Under applicable data protection laws, you retain the following rights regarding personal data:

  • Right to Know / Access: You can request information on any data collected or processed.
  • Right to Deletion: You can request that any personal data held about you be erased.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale: RealCalc does not sell, rent, or lease personal information to any third parties.
